The Boy, the Mole, the Fox, and the Horse: A Book to Rediscover the Basics of Life

The Boy, the Mole, the Fox, and the Horse is a book I discovered during a time when I yearned to escape into its pages, despite the busyness and stress of life. This book is an easy read that can be finished in one sitting, and the journey through its pages feels like a delightful tour with its charming characters—the curious and questioning boy, the mole with a deep love for cakes, the silent yet profound fox, and the caring horse. Throughout this journey, readers are treated to adorable paintings that add to the enchantment of the narrative.

Although the book cannot be easily confined to a single genre, it is a delightful blend of genres that can be enjoyed by anyone, offering valuable insights to those seeking to learn from it. Filled with questions, answers, and relatable thoughts, the book lacks a conventional plot or events. Instead, it draws inspiration from the characters' shared journey, where the boy poses questions and the other three provide insightful answers.

The journey depicted in the book is peaceful and uneventful, much like many of our lives. These characters encourage us to live our mundane lives with consciousness, cherish good friendships, and not hesitate to seek help—a message the horse considers the greatest strength. This particular revelation was eye-opening for me, as I used to perceive asking for help as a sign of weakness or dependence. Upon reflection, it becomes clear that we need each other to survive, a fact we often forget when under the illusion that we alone can excel and go further.

As I mentioned, this book may not introduce something entirely new or exciting, but it efficiently helps us rediscover the basics—something I believe we need most in our lives."
